How do I Access the Trailblazer Underseat Fuse Box?
by Amanda Ballard CoatesThe Chevy Trailblazer is an SUV introduced in 1999 as an upgraded version of the Blazer. Sometimes minor problems may occur with the vehicle. When troubleshooting problems with any car, it is a good idea to check the fuses first before spending unnecessary time and energy on figuring out the issue. Replacing a fuse is a quick and inexpensive fix. The Chevy Trailblazer has three fuse boxes. Two are located under the hood, and the third is located under the back seat on the driver's side. Refer to the owner's manual for a description of what each fuse is for.
Step 1
Lift the rear seat so that you can access the fuse box easily.
Step 2
Pull up and out on the forward facing panel of the under seat fuse box. You may need to use a flat head screwdriver to help pry this off. Be careful not to break off the plastic clips which hold the panel on.
Step 3
Squeeze the clips together on either side of the black panel of the fuse box. This may be difficult to do with your hands. Use gloves to get a better grip on the clips, or use a pair of pliers to help squeeze the clips together. Whichever you choose, handle with care so that the clips are not broken during the removal.
