How do I Fill a Yamaha Grizzly Radiator?

by Robert Good

As with any engine, the radiator on a Yamaha Grizzly is what cools the engine and keeps it from overheating. Properly filling the radiator is an important part of normal maintenance. The radiator uses a 50-50 mix of radiator fluid and water that you can purchase in a pre-mixed bottle at your Yamaha dealer. This is a simple procedure that will take you less than five minutes to complete.

Remove the metal cap from the top of the radiator and place it on the seat. Insert the funnel onto the radiator and push it all the way down until it stops.

Pour the radiator fluid onto the radiator through the funnel. Pour the fluid slowly because it needs to flow through the lines.

Remove the funnel and replace the cap to the top of the radiator. Start the engine and allow it to run for one minute. Turn the engine off and remove the cap from the radiator.

Insert the funnel into the radiator and pour radiator fluid into the radiator. Once the fluid reaches to rim of the radiator the radiator is full. Replace the cap.
