How to Change the Headlight on a 2007 Chevy TrailBlazer
by Johnathan CronkIt's important to replace the headlight on your 2007 Chevrolet TrailBlazer at the first sign of damage or the light burning out. Headlights are an important aspect of the vehicle as they give increased visibility during bad weather conditions or dark evening hours. To prevent a fix-it ticket or possible accident, replace the headlight as soon as possible. Replacement headlights can be purchased at local auto parts stores, and the job takes minimal tools.
Step 1
Place the TrailBlazer in "Park" and allow the vehicle to cool for 15 minutes.
Step 2
Open the hood of the TrailBlazer and locate the headlight to be replaced. Identify the metal band securing the unit in place. Use a screwdriver and remove the screws along the metal band. The metal band will slide off.
Step 3
Remove the headlight unit by pulling it out of the socket and disconnecting the electrical wire from the back of the unit.
Step 4
Insert the new headlight unit in place and connect the electrical wire to the back of the unit. Place the metal band around the headlight unit and replace each screw. Tighten the screws using the screwdriver. Close the hood of the TrailBlazer.
