Cars Similar to the Audi TT

The Audi TT is a luxury two-door German sports car. The Audi launched the TT in spring 1999 as an early 2000 model. Originally, it was only available as a coupe. In 2001, Audi added the two-passenger, convertible Roadster model to accompany the coupe. Other car manufacturers produce two-door sports models that compete with the Audi TT. Vehicles vary, but you should be able to find both foreign and domestic vehicles comparable to the TT.
BMW Z4
Both the Audi TT and the BMW Z4 offer two types of engines. The TT comes with either a 200 horsepower (HP) 2.0 liter I-4 or a 250 HP 3.2 liter V-6 engine. The Z4 is available in a 255 HP 3.0 liter I-6 or a 300 HP 3.0 liter I-6. The Z4 has the option for both a 6-speed automatic and manual transmission and offers the option of a 7-speed semi-automatic with overdrive. It gets up to 19 miles per gallon (mpg) in the city and up to 29 mpg on the highway.
Chevrolet Corvette
The Corvette offers four engine options. The smallest is a 430 HP 6.2 liter V-8 and largest is a 638 HP 6.3 liter V-8. It offers similar options for its transmission as the Audi TT. You can either get a 6-speed semi-automatic transmission or a 6-speed manual transmission with overdrive capabilities in both vehicles. However, the Corvette offers the additional option of a 6-speed fully automatic version. The Corvette gets up to 16 mpg in the city and up to 26 mpg on the Highway.
Honda S2000
The S2000 is a slightly less expensive option for a car similar to the Audi TT. As of 2009, its top price averaged just under $37,000, while the Audi TT topped out at just over $45,000. The Honda only offers one option for both the engine and transmission. It comes with a 237 HP 2.2 liter I-4 and a 6-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Its best fuel rating is 18 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway, compared to the TT's 23 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway. Unfortunately, Honda discontinued this model for 2010 and has yet to reveal a replacement that would continue to compete with the TT.
