The Towing Capacity of a Saturn SUV

by Justin Cupler

In 2009, Saturn's final year on the market, it offered a pair of SUVs: Outlook and Vue. The Outlook came with a V-6-power, and the Vue came with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder, a 3.6-liter V-6 or a 2.4-liter hybrid drivetrain. These Saturn SUVs were not the toughest or most capable models on the market, but they were able to haul around a small trailer.

Saturn Outlook

The 2009 Saturn Outlook could tow 2,000 pounds in its standard and all-wheel-drive versions. With the V92 Trailer Towing Package installed, the Outlook's towing capacity increased to 4,500 pounds with front- and all-wheel drive.

Saturn Vue

The base 2009 Vue with the 2.4-liter engine and the Vue Hybrid could tow 1,500 pounds. The V-6-equipped 2009 Vue could tow 3,500 pounds.
