How to Reset a Honda Navigation System
by David ClairSome Honda vehicles are equipped with navigation systems that use a Global Positioning System (GPS) to detect their current locations. The system provides directions to navigate to other locations. However, the system may lose track of its current location and provide inaccurate information. If this happens, the system should be reset so it can calibrate itself and provide accurate directions.
Step 1
Insert the DVD that came with the navigation system into the Honda's DVD slot.
Step 2
Press and hold the "Map," "Cancel" and "Menu" buttons until the diagnostic menu appears on the screen.
Step 3
Press the "Version" button on the diagnostic menu.
Step 4
Press the "Download" button. The system will reinstall the navigation software from the DVD. Leave the navigation system on for about five minutes to give it time to reset.
