How to Remove Odor From a Car Interior

by ChristopherVitanza

Removing odor from your car's interior is a fairly straightforward process that should take about an hour to complete. There are many things that can cause the interior of a car to become filled with foul odors. While there are a number of products on the market that claim to remove odors quickly, many are ineffective and only mask the odor. Luckily, there is a natural remedy that can take care of the problem in a short period of time.

Place vinegar into an open container and set it on the floor in the passenger side of the front of the vehicle. The container should be the approximately the size of a cereal bowl.

Close all the windows and doors of the vehicle and place the key in the ignition. Turn the ignition and start the vehicle. Turn the heat onto its maximum temperature using the floor vents only.

Leave the vehicle running for 30 minutes to one hour. Remove the container of vinegar from the vehicle and turn off both the heat and the vehicle. The odor should be completely removed from the car interior.
