How to Remove the Front Bumper on a 325 BMW
by Carl PruitIf you need to replace the front bumper of your 325 BMW because of damage or just want to change the look of your vehicle, you can remove the front bumper in about an hour without too much trouble. The front bumper of the BMW is attached with Torx bolts that can be removed with a Torx bit and socket wrench. You can save time and money by removing the front bumper yourself.
Step 1
Insert a flat head screwdriver in the slots on both sides of one of the signal light lenses on the 325 BMW front bumper and gently pry the cover off the bumper. Detach the wiring plug from the back of the lens and set the plug inside the bumper frame. Repeat the process for the remaining three signal light lenses on the front bumper.
Step 2
Unfasten the four mounting bolts on the front bumper with a Torx bit and socket wrench. The four bolts are visible from underneath the front bumper with two bolts along the front and one on each side of the bumper.
Step 3
Slide the front bumper straight out from the vehicle frame and verify that all electrical wiring is free of the bumper. Remove the front bumper from the 325 BMW and set it out of the way.
