The biggest obstacle to finding out the value of a 1982 Chevy truck will be the model year. Kelley Blue Book only goes back as far as 1990. Several other reliable sources exist, however, that should allow you to get a good idea of the value of a 1982 Chevy truck.

Autobuyguide

The autobuyguide website offers information on Chevy trucks going back to 1980, as of October 2010. Select used cars from the homepage, then select used trucks, and finally Chevrolet. You will see a list of Chevrolet trucks by year and model; 1982 models include the C10, C20, C30, K10, K20 and K30. The website will search any model you select for a given zip code.

NADA Guides

The NADA guides website provides a price range for used cars going back to 1926. After you provide a zip code, you simply go through the various steps until you find the truck model. Provide as much detail as possible to get the most accurate range of the truck's value.

Autotrader

The autotrader website will search nationwide for a used truck of any model year you ask for. Since many appraisal websites do not provide information on models older than 20 years, you can search autotrader for 1982 Chevy trucks for sale and use the asking prices as a guide.
