How to Operate an Audi Navigation System

Over the years, Audi's navigation systems have evolved from a simple GPS to an integrated multimedia or infotainment system. The system is simple to use and can help any driver find a way to get from here to there.
Step 1
Press the button labeled "Navigation" or NAV on the console to access the navigation menu.
Step 2
Choose from the "Map", "Route", "Memory" and "Nav-info" options on the Multi-Media Interface or MMI screen. There are buttons around the knob on the console to select your choice.
Step 3
Turn the knob to highlight the option you want on the screen. Your choices under "Route" may include: route with or without stopovers, route list, route criteria and avoid route from here. Push the knob to choose the desired option.
Step 4
Press the return button from the center of the console to get out of a menu once you have made your selections.
Step 5
Push the setup button to change the map scheme, orientation, intersection zoom, map type, map content, navigation information or altitude display; to delete last destinations; or to enter NAV start location, demo mode or version information.

- The Audi Navigation system and the Audi Navigation System Plus use a thumb wheel on the steering wheel to highlight and select options, many of them in the same menus and sub-menus, but you can still access the information from the center console.
