How to Open a Dodge Caliber's Trunk
by Julius VandersteenThe Dodge Caliber is a compact car that comes in four models: the basic Express; the Mainstreet, which has bigger wheels and a tuned suspension; the Uptown with luxury options; and the Heat, a sport-tuned model. When you are planning a road trip or even a quick trip to the grocery store, you'll probably want to use the trunk of your Dodge Caliber to store items. The trunk on any Caliber can be opened in two ways -- you can use either the remote keyless transmitter or the ignition key.
Step 1
Press and release the "Unlock" button on the remote keyless transmitter twice to unlock the Dodge Caliber's trunk. The car's turn signal lights will flash in response, acknowledging the unlock signal. Squeeze the trunk release and pull it open.
Step 2
Insert the ignition key into the trunk lock if you don't have convenient access to the remote keyless transmitter. Turn the key to the right to unlock the trunk. Squeeze the trunk release and pull it open in one motion.
Step 3
Press the "Lock" button on the remote keyless transmitter once to lock all of the doors and the trunk of your Dodge Caliber. Insert the ignition key into the trunk lock if you don't have the remote keyless transmitter. Turn the key to the left to lock the trunk.
