4.0 Ford Explorer Torque Specs
by Martin WoodfieldThe Explorer sports utility vehicle, manufactured by Ford, was introduced to consumers in 1990. Though the 2010 release is sold in four trim models (XLS, XLT, Eddie Bauer and Limited), each model is outfitted with the same 4.0-liter engine.
Engine
The 4.0-liter V-6 engine that powers the Explorer is capable of 210 horsepower at 5,100 rpm and is standard for all 2010 Explorer models.
Torque
The 4.0-liter engine is capable of producing up to 254 ft-lbs. of torque.
Torque RPM
The 254 ft-lbs. of torque created by the 4.0-liter engine is produced at 3,700 rpm.
