1953 Ford Jubilee Specifications
by Amanda GronotFord produced the "Golden Jubilee" to celebrate its 50th anniversary. This tractor was only released in 1953 and 1954, succeeding the Ford 8N, and only 128,965 models were built. Made in the Highland Park, Michigan, factory, this tractor had a special badge on its nose that commemorated the anniversary. Upon release, it cost $1,560. It was followed by the Ford 640 model.
Engine
The Jubilee sports a 2.2-liter gasoline engine with four cylinders and eight valves. Its 3.44-inch bore and 3.6-inch stroke yield a compression ratio of 6.6 to 1. This motor is naturally aspirated and uses a liquid cooling system. The transmission has four forward gears and one reverse gear.
Dimensions and Tires
With a wheelbase of 73.86 inches, the Jubilee measures a total of 119 inches long, 64.75 inches wide and 74 inches tall. Its operating weight is 2,814 lbs., while its ballasted weight, or weight added to counter additional implements, is 4,392 lbs. In the front, this tractor uses 5.5-16 or 6-16 tires. In the rear, it uses 10-28 tires.
Capacities and Power
The fuel tank for the Jubilee holds 11 gallons of gasoline. The hydraulic system holds two gallons, the cooling system holds 15 quarts and the oil tank holds five quarts. The tested power for the drawbar of this tractor is 26.8 horsepower, and for the belt, it is 31.14 horsepower.
