The 2006 Toyota Tundra uses a tire pressure warning system to warn a driver when tire pressure of any one of the tires is reduced. The system also monitors the pressure in the spare tire. When tires are replaced, rotated or if air is added to any of the tires, the system must be reset. Resetting the system allows the Tundra to accurately measure the air pressure in all of the tires. The warning light will turn off when the system is reset.

Step 1

Insert the key into the ignition.

Step 2

Turn the key to the "ON" position.

Step 3

Press and hold the "SET" button. The button is directly below the steering column.

Step 4

Release the "SET" button when the tire indicator light turns off.

Step 5

Turn the ignition to the "OFF" position.
