How to Remove the Glove Box From a Mazda 3
by Amanda GoldfarbThe Mazda 3 is Mazda's high-performance, compact sedan. It comes in a four-door model and a five-door hatchback. Both models get over 20 miles per gallon of gas. Owners can perform much of the maintenance. To perform several of the self-maintenance operations, such as replacing the air filter or a light bulb, you first have to remove the vehicle's glove box. Removing the glove box may seem like a daunting task, but you can do it in just a few steps.
Step 1
Lift the glove box hatch and pull it toward you.
Step 2
Remove the two screws located at the top, center of the glove box.
Step 3
Unclip the eight clips around the outside of the glove box.
Step 4
Slide the tab located toward the outer edge of the glove box.
Step 5
Pull the decoration panel off. Start in the middle and work your way toward the driver's side of the vehicle.
Step 6
Pull out the glove box. Be sure the light socket does not become entangled in the box.
