How to Open the Hood of a Lincoln Navigator

The Navigator can comfortably seat seven to eight adults and has more than 100 cubic feet of cargo space. It also can tow more than 8,000 pounds, making it a great choice for families with boats or trailers. The Lincoln Navigator has a V8 Engine. If you need to access the engine, open the hood on your vehicle.
Step 1
Pull the hood release handle located under the bottom of the instrument panel.
Step 2
Walk to the front of the vehicle.
Step 3
Release the auxiliary latch under the front center of the hood.
Step 4
Lift the hood until the lift cylinders hold it open automatically.
