How Can I Reset the Tire Pressure Monitor in an Audi?
by David ClairMany Audi vehicles are equipped with tire pressure monitors that connect to the onboard computer. The system monitors the tire pressure in all of the tires and alerts the driver when the air pressure on one or more is low. When the pressure is restored in the low tire, you must reset the system so it can recalibrate the pressure in the tires. Resetting is also necessary if the tires are rotated or replaced, so the computer can get an accurate reading. The resetting process is similar for all Audi models.
Step 1
Insert the key into the ignition. Turn the ignition switch to the "On" position without starting the engine.
Step 2
Press the "Car" button on the control panel on the information display.
Step 3
Press the down arrow to scroll through the options until "Tire Pressure Monitor" is highlighted.
Step 4
Press the "Option" button. The reset confirmation is displayed.
Step 5
Press the "Option" button again to confirm and reset the system.
