Dents are inevitable on your car. Most minor dents are removable if they are not creases or in rolled portions of the body such as corners or edges. Sometimes you can get behind the dent and pop it out with a rubber mallet. If you don’t have access to the back of the dent, you can remove dents with a small suction cup. Many hardware stores sell small suction cups for carrying glass that are ideal as dent pullers. The suction cup literally “sucks” the dent out of the metal and removes it from your car without drilling any holes.

Step 1

Place a film of water around the inside edge of the suction cup with your finger. The water helps to ensure a seal between the cup and the metal.

Step 2

Position the suction cup over the center of the dent. Press down and up slightly on the handle to create a vacuum between the dent and the cup.

Push down and pull out to “vacuum” the dent from the metal. This may require several attempts.
