How to Reset Automatic Door Locks in a 2007 Camryby Leonardo R. Grabkowski
The 2007 Toyota Camry has an automatic locking feature. This feature can be set to automatically lock the doors when the transmission leaves "Park," or when the Camry reaches 12 mph. If you've accidentally disabled the automatic locking feature, reset it to the desired setting by programming the auto lock function. If the procedure doesn't work, there may be an issue with the vehicle; consult the nearest Toyota dealer for assistance.
Automatic Locking Based on the Transmission
Close the Camry's doors and engage the parking brake lever. Insert the ignition key and turn it to the "On" setting, without cranking the engine.
Push and hold the "Lock" switch on the driver-side door panel within 10 seconds of moving the ignition key to "On."
Release the "Lock" switch after five seconds. The Camry's locks will cycle, letting you know the system has been set.
Automatic Locking Based on Vehicle Speed
Close the Camry's doors and engage the parking brake lever. Turn the ignition to "On."
Apply the brake pedal, then shift the transmission to "N."
Push and hold the "Lock" switch on the door panel for five seconds. When you release the switch, the door locks cycle, letting you know the procedure is complete.
