How to Reset the Oil Change Light on Chevrolet Cars

by Contributing Writer; Updated June 12, 2017

The Chevrolet car truck has an oil change reminder system connected to the onboard computer that illuminates a warning light when it is time for an oil change. If a Chevrolet car dealer changes the oil in the Chevrolet car he or she will reset the change oil light as part of the procedure. You can manually reset the light yourself if you do your own oil changes or if you take the truck to a mechanic that does not reset it.
