Get into your Chevy vehicle. All doors must be closed.

Place your key into the ignition of your vehicle and hold the "Unlock" button located on the driver's door panel of the car.

Turn the key in the ignition as far as you can without actually starting the engine and turn the key back to the "Off" position. Do this twice.

Remove your hand from the "Unlock" button on the door panel. Your Chevy will then lock and unlock itself automatically.

Hold the "Lock" and "Unlock" buttons simultaneously on your key fob until the doors of your Chevy automatically lock and unlock themselves one more time.

Connect pins 4 and 8 with a suitable conductor, for example a wire with bare ends, a paper clip or a hairpin. Leave the conductor in place during the entire programming procedure. If you connected pins 4 and 8 correctly, then the car's computer will cycle the power locks to confirm.

Hold down the "Lock" and "Unlock" button on the first fob you want to program until the power locks cycle. This can take about 15 seconds.

Insert your key into the Impala's ignition cylinder and turn it to the "Acc" position. Make sure that the vehicle's radio is off before beginning the fob programming process.

Shut your Trailblazer's doors. Put your key in the ignition. Don't turn the key.

Push the "Unlock" switch on the door. Hold the button down.

Turn the key rapidly through the following sequence: "On," "Off," "On," "Off."

Release the "Unlock" switch. At this time, you'll hear the door locks cycle.

Press the "Unlock" and "Lock" buttons on the remote at the same time. Hold the buttons down for up to 30 seconds, or until the door locks cycle again. This remote is programmed to the Trailblazer. Sit in the driver's seat and place the key into the ignition switch. Turn the key from the "Lock" positing to the "On" position. Turn the key back to the "Lock" position, repeating this eight times, ending in the "On" position after the eighth cycle.

Wait for the doors to lock, then unlock, confirming that programming mode has been entered then depress any button of the new remote within 20 seconds of entering program mode. The doors will lock, then unlock, confirming the programming of the remote.

Turn the key to the "Lock" position, remove the key from the ignition and test the programming by locking and unlocking the doors from outside the car. Be sure you have the original remote outside the car with you in case the programming did not work.

Repeat the programming process for as many as four remotes per car.

Enter the car and cycle your key in the ignition from "Off" to "Run" eight times in 10 seconds, and end with the key in the "Run" position after the eighth rotation.

Press any button on your keyless remote to program it to the sequence within 20 seconds and wait for the doors to lock.

Repeat Step 3 with any additional remotes, always within 20 seconds of the last.

Turn the ignition to the "Off" position after the last remote to end the procedure.

Stand outside of the Range Rover with all of the doors of the vehicle closed. On the integrated remote fob and key unit, hold down the "Lock" button continuously. While holding this button, place the key into the driver's side door lock.

Continue to keep the "Lock" button of the fob held down. Rotate the key clockwise in the door lock. Keep the key rotated as far as it will turn for three seconds. Rotate the key back to the center and remove it from the lock. Do not release the "Lock" button.

Stop holding the "Lock" button on the fob once the key is completely clear of the door. The fob and the Range Rover will synchronize. The remote buttons will now control the locking functions of the vehicle.

 How to Program a Key Fob for a Chrysler

Turn your car's engine off and turn the ignition to the key "run" position. Look closely at the ignition to determine the position.

Press and hold the "unlock" button on your functional key fob. Hold the button for five seconds, and then hold the "panic" button for one second (while still holding the "unlock" button).

Release both buttons simultaneously. Listen for a chime to signal that the key fob is in programming mode. If you don't hear the chime, start the procedure over.

Press and release the "lock" and "unlock" button on the functional key fob, and then simultaneously press and release the "unlock" button on the functional key fob and the key fob you want to program.

Listen for the chime to confirm that the key fob has been programmed. Turn the ignition to the "off" position to exit programming mode.
