Where Is a Car Radiator Located?by Mykal May
A car's radiator is a very important part of a car. The radiator is responsible for keeping the engine cool. An overheated engine is dangerous and can seriously harm the car.
Inside the Car
The radiator of a car is located under the hood, which is the large panel at the front of the car. It has a latch to keep it closed. The latch has a release lever inside the car.
Front of the Car
Look for the radiator toward the front of the vehicle after you open the hood. You will often need to support the hood with a long rod that is folded under the hood.
Next to the Engine
The radiator is located near the car's engine, because the radiator's job is to keep the engine cool and prevent it from overheating.
There are some car models that have an engine in the back. One example of this is the Volkswagon Beetle. Car models with engines in the back may have radiators in the front or in the back of the car.
