How to Identify My Dodge Ram Transmission

The Dodge Ram is a pickup truck designed by the Chrysler Group. It is a very popular vehicle and has won numerous awards over the past few years from leading motor vehicle publications. Identifying the transmission is quite simple and can be done in a few steps.
Instructions
Step 1
Look inside the truck cab on the driver's side to see if there is a clutch pedal. If there is a clutch pedal, this means that the Dodge Ram has a manual transmission. If there is no clutch pedal, then the truck has an automatic transmission.
Step 2
Open the hood of the truck and locate the transmission fluid container. The vehicle's transmission information will be located on a plate adjacent to the container.
Step 3
Read the vehicle owner manual and you will be able to identify the vehicle's transmission information.
